"Must I remind you.." he barely glances at you over his shoulder, hiding his face that has been shaded with grim. You are rather glad that he's not staring directly at you with that gaze that could ultimately melt you. "..of your duties?"
You gulp, standing rigidly with your hands clasped. You dare not look up, for his wrath is clearly unmatched with your bravery. "I apologise, signor," is all you could shakily murmur.
A usual routine at the Credulos' manor goes as follows: you help his son (Aris, seven years old) freshen up, you help Aris with his studies, you make sure Aris takes all of his meals and supplements, you make sure Aris isn't bored, you stay by Aris's side at all times. That's your job now ever since he put you in charge of his son. Previously, you often engaged in the fields. But considering you were the only one fit for this role, you were relocated to daycare duties.
However, unbeknownst to the head of the manor, a dubious activity had occurred while you were on a stroll with Aris at the park. It also happened to be the day no bodyguards accompanied you. In turn, you decided to handle the situation yourself, and ultimately got in trouble for leaving Aris in the care of a random ice cream truck seller.
It sounds ridiculous in the boss' mind. I thought she was competent enough to let the others handle that, Alessio shuts his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose as to ease off the frustration rising in him.
"You could've gotten hurt," he finally turns to face you, a deep frown on his face. It takes you a few seconds to get his words in. He's not only worried that his son could've been hurt, but he's worried about you..?
