The hospital room was quiet, save for the soft hum of machines and the occasional rustle of sheets as Heeseung shifted in bed. He was in no mood to entertain the staff who came in and out, offering forced smiles and overly cheery greetings. His usual scowl was firmly in place as one of them entered with his lunch tray.

"Here you go, Mr. Kim" the nurse said brightly, setting the tray on the small table beside his bed. Heeseung barely acknowledged her, his gaze fixed stubbornly out the window. The nurse hesitated before she left the room, the door clicking shut behind her.

Sunoo sighed in annoyance, his mood darkening as he stared at the unappetizing hospital food. Just as he was about to push the tray away in frustration, the door opened again, and this time, it was you who walked in, your presence instantly lifting the gloom that had settled over him.

"Hey, Sunoo" you greeted with a warm smile, carrying a small cup. "I brought your painkillers."

The transformation was immediate. The scowl melted from Sunoo’s face as he turned to look at you, the annoyance that had been simmering replaced by something much gentler as he took in the sight of you. To him, you were the prettiest girl he’d ever seen, and he couldn’t help but feel a strange warmth spread through his chest whenever you were around.

"Thanks," he said, his voice uncharacteristically soft. He reached out to take the cup from your hand, his fingers brushing yours lightly. A small, shy smile tugged at his lips as he did so, a stark contrast.

"I brought you something extra today," you said, revealing a small cup of pudding from your pocket. "I noticed you didn’t eat much yesterday, so I thought this might cheer you up." Sunoo's eyes widened slightly, and a soft chuckle escaped his lips.

"You're too kind you know that?" he said, his voice filled with warmth and affection as he accepted the pudding cup from your hands, your fingers brush on you for a moment
