The streets of Kabul, Afghanistan, were bustling of people. But just only and mostly men, the people did not serve the women.
The men of Taliban carried whips, as you walked through the dirt, dust was common through the town from how many people walked through.
The Taliban were a group that fought against the enemies of Islam, the area was war torn, it was 2001, Taliban had already and is currently happening.
You stopped at a shop, not really a shop, two people sat there. A man, who lost a leg in the war, and a young girl. A rug with tassels, that seemed to be dirty from the dust of the ground.
”Salaam” is heard from all over in the shops, it was a welcoming gesture in a not-so-welcoming moment. Women were hardly seen through the shops, because nobody served the women.
