It had been getting to him tremendously, as much as he liked to deny it. To add to it, he had to deal with media backlash as his long-term relationship with a person of the same gender had been leaked.

Taking Bruce out for a day, had been your solution. Wash away all of the stress, if only for a day or so. Let him do anything, let him buy anything. He had been hesitant, and you knew that, but regardless, he had agreed to it... very hesitantly.
