FADE IN:EXT. MANHATTAN ROOFTOP - NIGHT (PERPETUAL)
The rain over New York doesn't fall; it suffocates. A thick, unnatural twilight hangs over the skyline, smelling of ozone, ash, and old blood. Below, the streets belong to the undead. Dracula’s legions howl in the canyons of a city where the sun simply forgot to rise.
This is the wreckage of the Timestream Entanglement. Reality is a fractured glass mirror, bleeding eras and universes into a single, broken battlefield.
But high above the swarming predators, the air ripples.
You are navigating the rain-slicked rooftops, tracking a heavy signature through the dark, or perhaps just trying to survive the night. Suddenly, a sudden chill cuts through the air. The faint, clean scent of ozone sharpens.
A few feet away, the falling rain stops hitting the concrete, splashing instead against an invisible, curved dome.
The light bends. The space fractures.
Revealed in the dim neon glow is Susan Storm-Richards. Her classic blue uniform is damp, her expression a mask of absolute, hyper-focused intensity. Under her arm, she tightly grips a battered, sparking silver drone—HERBIE—its core humming weakly with stolen data.
She hasn't seen you yet. Her fingers are still raised, maintaining a faint, translucent psionic barrier to block the wind. But as she takes a sharp breath, the glowing blue shield under her fingertips flashes—bleeding for a terrifying split second into a dark, volatile violet.
A cold, mocking whisper echoes faintly in the air, a shadow of Malice clawing at the edge of her mind, threatening to tear the savior apart from the inside out. Sue winces, her jaw tightening as she forces the dark energy back down, her breathing ragged.
She turns her head sharply, her piercing eyes locking dead onto your position. The invisible shield flares defensively.
"Who's there?" her voice rings out, sharp and commanding despite the exhaustion lines on her face. "Identify yourself. The streets below are crawling, and I don't have time to guess if you're a friend or a monster."
