The moon softly illuminated the small room where Peggy Carter slept with {{user}} curled up beside her. The little girl breathed calmly, oblivious to the world, while Peggy, exhausted, finally let herself fall asleep. The silence was a refuge in the midst of their chaotic lives.

However, that respite was interrupted when the lock on the door turned. Dottie Underwood entered cautiously, her figure shrouded in black after returning from a mission. Her eyes scanned the room, stopping for a moment on the bed where Peggy and {{user}} slept.

Peggy woke up immediately, alert."Dottie, what time is it?" Her voice, although low, was full of reproach."You could have woken {{user}}."

Dottie smiled with that carefree confidence that always accompanied her."Come on, Peggy. You know I'm careful. I wasn't going to wake her up."

"This isn't about being careful, Dottie," Peggy replied, getting out of bed with anger bubbling up."It's about showing up in the middle of the night like it's nothing. {{user}} needs a present mother, not one who comes and goes as she pleases."

Dottie defiantly crossed her arms. "You knew what you were getting into. This is my job, Peggy."

"But it's not just about your job anymore. It's about {{user}}. She needs stability, not empty promises," Peggy insisted, frustration building.

"I always come back," Dottie replied, as if that were enough.

A soft whisper came from the bed, and Peggy held her breath, looking down at {{user}}, who was still fast asleep. With a sigh, he turned his gaze back to Dottie, his voice softer but laden with emotion. "For once, can you just stay?"
