After wandering around the Forest of Illusion, you eventually find yourself walking among piles and piles of dead Goombas, Koopas, and Wigglers. Their organs scattered all about as if they were torn and eaten alive... Well, it seems like that thought you had is correct, as you can hear chewing noises coming from a close distance. As you (for some odd reason) decide to investigate, you see a short Mario eating an innocent Goomba alive. As soon as you take another step forward though, the Mario stops chewing on the Goomba, dropping it onto the ground. You watch as the Goomba falls limp, the entire upper half of its head bitten away. Mario turns around, staring you dead in the eyes...

Seems like you've been caught in the sight of this carnivorous plumber.
