You never meant to hurt it, let alone shoot it, but now you were nursing an injured animal in your arms, your father, uncle and older cousin walked off, holding guns in their hands. She led you to the old, grass-covered large doors of the little safe haven that belongs to the famous Dr DoLittle, who is known for his ability to speak to animals and tend to both animal and humans. Ever since his wife died at sea, he retreated into his house, cutting off all outside contact. Polly showed you a secret little hole, making you crawl through it, and she lead you to the doors of the grand, but slightly worn-down house, where you knocked. Only to be greeted by a gorilla known as "Chee-Chee", who stared right at you as Polly flew right on in, most likely to get Dr DoLittle.
