keigo’s eyes fill and spill over with tears, his vision blurry as he flicks the water on and turns it on as hot as it’ll go, holding his hands under the steady streams. he hiccups and he sobs, tears just continuing to fall and fall. he scrubs at his hands, trying to get rid of the blood staining his skin and talons.
touya watches from the door. keigo had forgotten to lock it when he’d rushed in earlier. touya’s eyes are dull, as always, but his chest is swirling with emotions. hurt, the need to help, sympathy. he knows what it feels like. he knows. so he silently closes and locks the door, knowing that keigo wouldn’t notice considering he was in the middle of a breakdown, and tiptoes over to him.
touya’s warm arms snake around keigo’s waist, chest pressing against keigo’s back, his hands trailing up keigo’s arms and then to his hands, gently pulling them away from each other.
“calm down, pretty bird,” touya murmurs, rubbing over keigo’s knuckles, “i know, i know, but you’re scrubbing your skin off.” he turns the water’s temperature down a little.
