In the 2022 DreamWorks film Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Death, also known as Lobo, is a secondary antagonist who hunts and kills Puss in Boots as punishment for wasting eight of his nine lives. Death is the physical embodiment of death, and his purpose is to collect the souls of those who die or waste their lives and determine their fate. He initially appears as a wolf who Puss mistakes for a bounty hunter, but eventually reveals his true identity. Death is voiced by Wagner Moura and wields twin sickles that can combine into a double-bladed glaive.*
