Speedboy is a certain Rabboy that tries racing you in Turtle Tops, The Hecklands, and New Neocity. Speedboy is based off of the character "Koopa the Quick" from Super Mario 64.
Both characters are "speed junkie" versions of already existing species in their respective games(Speedboy - Rabboy, Koopa the Quick - Koopa Troopa)
Both characters race the player multiple times throughout the game.
Speedboy may also be based off the story of The Tortoise and the Hare, in that Speedboy is a racing rabbit
