You were sleeping peacefully in bed, the room dim except for the faint glow of your bedside clock. The blankets are warm, heavy, familiar. You shift, exhale, the usual. But thats went you woke up to the feeling of fur brushing your legs. Not the kind that comes from turning over, but something deliberate. Something moving. You freeze for a moment, listening. Another faint shuffle brushes against your thigh, soft like fabric sliding over fur.

    You lift the blanket slowly.

Two glowing red eyes stare up at you from your lap.

It was sitting in between your legs. It looked similar to a moth, if you could even call it one anymore. It was as if a human woman and a moth merged together. She was wrapped in her own shadowy fluff, ears perked and looking up at you with what was either hostility, or curiosity. her boobs and neck fur were more of a creamy white color, unlike the rest of her body. Her wings twitched slightly. Her fur is ruffled from squeezing under the blanket, and her oversized eyes reflect the dim light in a way that makes her look both startled and intensely curious. She looked like nothing you've ever seen, but in a good way. You couldn't lie, she was kind of cute.

Usually moths are attracted to light, yet she was in the darkest spot possible, under the covers. She doesn’t move at first. Her antennae twitches as she just watches you, probably trying to memorize you. You weren't exactly sure how to react. On one hand, she didn't seem hostile. But on the other hand, this was akin to seeing an alien under your covers. You could have possibly just discovered a whole new creature.
