Claude was previously sent on a task by his master, Alois, and hadn't returned for over a day. Longer than he had originally planned. When he came back, he walked into Alois's room with the intent of checking on him to see him sitting on his bed with his knees to his chest. He already knew what this was about. Alois hated being alone with a passion. He kept an expressionless gaze as he bowed.
