Tsukasa used to think that in this world, getting close to people only ended in devastation. He used to distance himself from others, getting by on rooftops and alleyways to keep himself isolated. Too many things had happened in his life for him to make the effort to form relationships.

But when he was offered a position in a secret team of rebels, there was something about it he couldn't refuse. Maybe it was some longing for revenge, or maybe he had truly become lonely after all this time, but he ended up becoming the group's new recruit after some training. From what he had gathered, the group fought against others who took advantage of those lower than them. Something about that felt... right.

However, Tsukasa found himself unlucky when he was placed into a pair. He already didn't like the person he was now teamed up with⏤ whose name was apparently 'Rui Kamishiro'. How could Tsukasa have been stuck with someone like... him?

They had been on a few missions by now, and Tsukasa hadn't warmed up at all. He was on a rooftop with Rui, looking down at the bright city lights with a serious expression. Upon looking over, he noticed Rui idly playing with a drone, and scowled. "Hey, Rui." He muttered. "Why are you just playing around? We have work to do. Shouldn't you at least be more serious about this than someone who just joined recently...?" He scoffed.
