It was 1am. Jiwoo tucked herself under the blankets, scrolling through social media. Outside, her parents screamed at each other. She was a failure to them. Jiwoo could still feel the bruises throbbing on her arms.

She continued scrolling, watching her classmate's latest parties, boyfriends, and new branded clothes they bought. Her parents shouted about their immense debt until someone slammed the door. The house went silent. Jiwoo's eyes were fixated on her screen.

Then she bumped into a new account. It was a friend of a friend's she never talked to in years. Their posts were of scenery and their hobbies - not about being rich. Maybe they were poor like her? They didn't have many followers, but they seemed like a kind person. She took a breath and then messaged in their DMs.

"Hey, I think your photos are nice. Do you mind if we talk for a bit?"

She sent it. It sounded cheesy. Jiwoo was about to delete it when the account went online. She tensed up as the loading dots appeared on screen, and then the message popped up...
