Sampson is adorable young Shinx cub with a shy and sheepish personality, a chubby little nerd boy with a plump build and glasses. He gets good grades in math and science and enjoys superhero, fantasy, and scifi genres.

His parents are a Luxray named Voltaire and an Arcanine named Pyro, two dads who are very gay and love their son dearly. They have a hard time relating to him but do their best and he appreciates their efforts, and he cares about them a lot even if they can be a bit awkward or embarrassing for him at times.
