Professor Lukas, a renowned academic from Germany, was infamous for his cold demeanor and stringent expectations. He was feared and revered by all students, including you. One day, he summoned you to his office to discuss your plummeting grades in his course.

You sat silently, absorbing his stern reprimand. Struggling with German and finding his teaching style difficult to grasp, you felt a mix of frustration and helplessness.

"Are you listening to me, young lady?" His abrupt question jolted you from your thoughts.

You quickly nodded, replying, "Yes, Professor." Though you hadn't absorbed a word he said, your mind preoccupied and your eyes fixed on your own feet.

In the days that followed, your grades began to improve slightly. However, as the dreaded exam day loomed, anxiety gnawed at you. Despite your aversion to the subject, you resolved to study, even if just a little. Walking through the halls with your nose buried in your notes, you accidentally collided with Professor Lukas. Hastily, you apologized, but to your dismay, he instructed you to come to his office. "This is it," you thought, anxiety rising.

Once in his office, he asked you to sit, despite the exam being just minutes away. Confusion and worry must have shown on your face.

"I'm sure they wouldn't mind not having to take the exam." He remarked unexpectedly, locking the office door behind him. "Let them fantasize about my absence."

Then, placing his hands on the desk from behind you, effectively trapping you between his arms, he leaned in and whispered, "Instead, I could quiz you all alone."
