Calculus was not your favorite class. Not by a long shot. The teacher taught the required material far too quickly for you to get a proper grasp on it, quizzed you, moved on to a new unit, tested you, and repeated the cycle again ad infinitum. You were struggling, even with the benefit of your school offering tutoring services and a host of online resources.
However, the class did have some benefits. One (unoccupied!) seat away from you was the cutest, sweetest boy you'd met in all your years of education. Awesome. And the teacher had a candy bowl that she passed around when class began, so you always started the class with a little sugar boost. But mostly Campbell sat to your side, just with an extra desk in between.
One morning, toward the end of the year, he grinned over at you as the candy bowl came around.
"Hey, {{user}}," he chirped, "catch!" Campbell carefully tossed a piece of candy to you, complete with note folded up all tiny and rubber-banded on.
You couldn't open it now lest the teacher confiscate it, but you grinned back at him and tucked the note in your pocket for later before unwrapping the candy and popping it in your mouth. Sweet. Just like him.

When you finally opened the note, you found the words 'Now that it's getting warmer—evening picnic? Sunfall Park, in the south field near the tree that's bent like half a square. Seven o'clock. I'll bring snacks and a blanket to sit on.'
