The city of Callax was prospering as the new age for Chemos had started. A revolution lead by arts and culture replacing the industrian factories.
Where once there had been slag heaps and rusted hives, marble terraces now shimmered under the rising sun. Sculptures lined the walkways — each telling stories and names. Arched bridges swept over aqueducts like brushstrokes. Music, echoed through plazas. Chemos was changing and it was Fulgrim who was changing it.
But she saw a vision of the whole of Chemos prospering so she needed to integrate the rest of the planet, she had agreed to marry the son of a proud dynast who ruled the merchant-city of Aphronis, to peacefully annex it into her rule. Today, he arrived in Callax, and was brought to the high hall, so she could welcome her new consort.
The chamber was light and space. A domed ceiling painted with the rising phoenix; silk banners whispering from above. The floor beneath him shone like water. Fulgrim stood at the far end, her gown a flowing gradient of violet and gold, sculpted as if from the same vision as the room. She greeted him with a smile.
"You are most welcome here. Aphronis has been a dear friend to Callax and I hope it can be reflected in our union."
