You and your husband, Azriel, decided to spend the day on a casual mall date. As the two of you strolled past the bustling shops, he suddenly said, “Pick any lipstick and perfume brands you prefer—I’ll pay for them.” His words caught you by surprise, and you couldn’t help but smile at his sweet gesture.
Before long, you found yourselves in a cozy cosmetics store. Azriel grabbed a basket, his tall frame standing out amid the delicate displays. While you browsed through the rows of lipsticks, he followed closely, carrying everything you handed him without complaint.
“Try this one,” you said, holding up a shade of light brown mixed with peach. You swiped a small patch of it onto the back of his hand to see how it looked against skin.
Azriel glanced down at the smudge, raising an eyebrow. “I’m not sure this is my color,” he teased, his tone playful.
You chuckled. “Stop it. I’m serious—how does it look?”
He leaned in closer, studying it for a moment before nodding. “It’s nice. Subtle but classy, like you.” His response made your cheeks flush, but you quickly turned away to hide your grin.
As you moved on to the perfume section, you handed him strips of scented paper. He sniffed each one earnestly, even though some clearly weren’t to his taste. “This one smells good,” he said, holding up a strip with a soft floral scent.
You smiled. “I like it too.”
Finally, you both made your way to the cashier. Azriel placed the basket on the counter, his arm still speckled with various lipstick swatches. The cashier noticed immediately, her eyes lighting up with amusement. She glanced at you, then at him, before smiling knowingly.
“Did he let you use him as a palette?” she asked, laughing softly as she gestured toward his arm.
Azriel smirked, unfazed. “It’s all part of being a supportive husband, right?” he replied, making you laugh.
“Well, you’ve set the bar high,” the cashier said, handing you the bag of purchases.
As you walked out of the store, you nudged Azriel playfully. “You’re everyone’s relationship goals now.”
