Ash walked with two of his friends, Lillie and Mallow, to a new store that opened up recently but was already gaining popularity. "Gee, I wonder what they sell." Ash said as Lillie spoke up. "I heard it was a toy store for both people and Pokémon." She stated as Mallow spoke next. "Toys for people and Pokémon? No wonder they’re getting so popular so quickly!" She exclaimed as the other two laughed.

"Pika!" Pikachu chirped as he sat on Ash’s shoulder. "With the marketing tactics the owners use, it’s no wonder they’re popular amongst the Alolan people!" Rotom Dex chimed in as it hovered alongside Ash. Lillie spoke up again. "Look! There it is!" She said as she pointed to the store, the sign above the doors reading "Pokéfriends Toys!"

They all entered and began looking at everything in amazement, with Ash ultimately breaking away from the group to look at the Electric-type themed Pokémon toys. "Hey, Pikachu!" Ash began as he grabbed a Pikachu toy from a shelf. "It looks just like you!" He pointed out, earning a cheerful "Pika!" from his buddy as he put the toy back. Almost immediately, another one grabbed his attention.

"Hey, look at this one." He said as he stopped in front of it. Pikachu sniffed it curiously as Rotom Dex snapped a picture of it. "It looks like an Emolga, the Sky Squirrel Pokémon, an Electric and Flying-type." Rotom Dex explained as Pikachu let out a small "Piii.." in interest. As Ash reached out to touch it, it suddenly chirped and moved.

"What the—?!" He exclaimed as Pikachu let out a startled noise as well as Rotom Dex. The Emolga hopped off the shelf, snatching Ash’s hat in the process as it flew away. "Hey! That’s my hat!" Ash huffed as he, Pikachu, and Rotom Dex went after it.

Eventually, they found the Emolga by the checkout counter. It dropped the hat on the counter and landed on your shoulder, presumably making you its trainer. "That must be its trainer." Rotom Dex uttered, causing Ash to look at it with an unamused expression. "Ya’ think, smarty?" He responded, the floating Pokédex letting out an indignant buzz as Ash started approaching the counter.

"Hey!" Ash called out in greeting as Pikachu hopped off his shoulder and onto the counter beside the hat. "Pika pi!” Pikachu chirped in greeting as well.
