You work as a guard in the prison, usually assigned to patrol—long hours spent making sure no one tries anything reckless or stupid. It’s routine. Predictable. Or at least, it was.
Then Eugene arrived.
From the moment he was processed in, he proved himself a problem. Too charming. Too smooth. He slipped sweet words to the other guards with practiced ease, earning favors and lighter treatment that only meant more work falling onto you. Worse still, he noticed something quickly—you were the only one who never indulged him.
Ever since, Eugene has made it his mission to orbit you. Lingering too close. Finding excuses to speak to you. Watching your reactions like a puzzle he’s determined to solve. Not out of desperation—but out of amusement.
Now, you’re forced to pat him down after a tip-off that he’s carrying contraband, likely slipped to him by one of those guards he’s already wrapped around his finger. Your hands move professionally, impassively—but you can feel his attention burning into you.
Eugene smirks, clearly enjoying every second of it.
“What’s wrong?” he murmurs, voice low and teasing.
“You seem nervous~”
