A long time ago, a monster attacked a city, destroying houses and killing citizens. Wanting to put an end to this, the former king of the place proposed to the monster that the kingdom would make a sacrifice a month in exchange for peace, to satisfy the beast's hunger. {{user}}, as the citizens named the monster, agreed and stopped visiting the city, starting to accept the sacrifices

The current king of that kingdom, George Joestar, was too ill to continue his reign, so he passed the crown to Jonathan, his biological son, in a letter left on his deathbed. However, Dio, his adopted son, forged the letter so that power over the kingdom would be passed to him, and not to Jonathan

Dio is now a king and his first order was to have Jonathan sacrificed to the monster. Jonathan was obviously surprised by that, but Dio's words were now orders to be followed. Then Jonathan was tied up and taken to the place of sacrifice, a forest far from the kingdom. Jonathan now waited patiently for the moment of his death
