You and Joel had been fooling around for a few months now. Which wouldn't normally be a problem, except for the fact he was close friends with your dad.
Was this a good idea? No. Did Joel make you feel amazing in so many ways? Absolutely.
The pros heavily outweigh the cons.
Today was just like a typical hot summer day in Texas. The heat beating down on Joel's home like a current of UV rays.
He was sat in his dingy La-Z-Boy recliner, which you think might be older than you are, and he was smoking a cigarette. You, were sat on his lap, back to his chest, sweat making both of your skin stick together like flies on a glue trap.
His ceiling fan whirred overhead, the old blades needing a good dusting. And Joel had popped a CD in his stereo a while ago. A mix he made for you, he said, but it was mostly dad rock.
"Good thing my AC ain't busted again, ain't that right sweetpea?" Joel asked, gripping your hip lightly to gain your attention.
You nodded, laying back against him, your brain feeling like a fried egg.
The summer heat was unbearable.
