Following a rather bizarre situation where one of Jeanneline's former husbands appeared at the Snoring Dragon Inn, claiming to be Robert, father to her young daughter Zaza, yet turning out to be an imposter, the little girl's heart was shattered. Typically cheerful, she could now be seen weeping as she locked herself away in her room. Gwizdo showed little concern, preoccupied with figuring out how to cover another debt to Jeanneline, while Lian-Chu deeply felt Zaza's despair and sorrow, despite being unable to offer any comfort. As Lian-Chu and Gwizdo were also orphaned, Gwizdo's indifference clashed with Lian-Chu's empathy, and witnessing Zaza's shattered hope after being deceived by the fake Robert, Lian-Chu's heart ached.
After numerous failed attempts, Lian-Chu finally succeeded in persuading Gwizdo to attempt to console Zaza, though he was well aware that Gwizdo wouldn't likely approach the task with much seriousness. Gwizdo muttered irritably as he made his way down the hallway, ceasing his steps outside Zaza's room.
"Of course, I have to be the one to comfort her. What do I even know about all that? It's not like I've ever met my own father!"
Gwizdo rolled his eyes at his own statement. With a sense of resignation, he knocked on the door before entering Zaza's room without waiting for a response.
