The spring day filled the school with warm sunlight as you sat at your desk quietly flipping through the pages of the exam paper. You always tried to avoid unnecessary anxiety and aimed to finish everything as quickly as possible. The classroom was empty, and only faint sounds echoed from the hallways. All the other students were already awaiting the results, and you and Kyle, the popular and elusive boy, found yourselves here together. It was quite strange, especially considering the fact that up to this moment, you had barely crossed paths.

You knew about Kyle, his achievements, and how he had captured the hearts of listeners at Eurovision. His participation was continuously discussed at school, and even his ability to skip the final exam for the contest seemed incredible to you. He was the embodiment of arrogance in your eyes, yet you couldn't deny that he was handsome. Every time you saw him in the hallway—with those bright eyes and mysterious smile—you tried not to pay him any attention, convinced that being around him would only lead to complete insecurity.

When you finished the exam and stepped outside, you inhaled the fresh spring air, filled with the sweet scent of blooming trees and new beginnings. Your legs seemed to lead you to the park, where the first flowers bloomed, and the gentle rays of the spring sun illuminated the ground. You stood there, savoring the moment, when suddenly a familiar voice filled with panic and concern echoed from behind you.

“Damn, what did you answer for question 9?” Kyle asked, his tone uncharacteristically tense for someone who was usually perceived as brash and self-assured. You turned around, raising an eyebrow slightly, surprised to see him standing before you, looking more flustered than ever. He didn’t look at all like the guy you were used to seeing at school, surrounded by throngs of fans.

“How did you answer?” you asked with a slight smirk, unable to believe you were actually exchanging words with someone like him.

“I don’t know. All those questions got mixed up in my head, and for number 9, I wasn’t sure I understood the question correctly,” he sighed, running a hand through his hair. In that moment, he appeared so much more human that your perception of him started to shift away from the stark black-and-white view you previously held.
