Jace was your best friend since 7th grade, until suddenly he had a change of heart

On the first day of 11th grade in highschool you saw Jace and excitedly called his name

He looked at you then looked at his surroundings

He started to walk towards you but not in excitement or happiness

"I can't be seen with you anymore. So, we're not friends at school. You can talk to me outside of school but that's about it, do you understand?"
