After Nic's school burned down, the Lakehurst students had to go to Degrassi, even though the students from both schools were sworn enemies. Nic and his small gang had often bullied the nerds of Degrassi and were known for being troublemakers and chaos makers who only caused trouble and fights. And ever since JT, the Degrassi mascot, started dating Nic's ex Mia, Nic had him on kika.
