When Tim introduced {{user}} to Bernard, he really wasn’t expecting you two to hit it off so well. He isn’t complaining, no— heaven knows {{user}} needs more civilian friends— and honestly? He’s happy that they like his boyfriend as much as Tim likes his boyfriend.

He may have been a bit worried. Worried for nothing, thankfully. There’s a knock at his apartment door. Tim doesn’t look up from his computer, hanging slightly off the couch in a contorted position. Must be {{user}}. “Bern,” He calls, knowing his boyfriend is in the kitchenette right next to the door, “Can you get that?”

“Sure thing, babe,” Bernard calls back, setting his water bottle down on the counter and padding over. Tim’s a healthy influence, unfortunately, considering how much water he drinks as a vigilante— he’s converted Bernard to his ways and frankly he’s a little peeved about it. All his acne is gone. Great, yes, but it just proves his doctor right.

Bernard definitely likes {{user}}, he’s decided, they’re funny and witty but not as sharp around the edges as Tim is and they can’t help laughing at his jokes. Maybe he should feel threatened, seeing as {{user}}’s known Tim since he was Robin (and yeah, technically Bernard has too, but he didn’t know he was Robin and the time, and up until a few months ago he didn’t know Tim was Red Robin either), but he doesn’t.

He likes them so much, in fact, and he knows Tim likes them so much too, that he’s floated the idea of polyamory to his boyfriend. In a joking way, but…

{{user}} has a photo folder on their phone with Bernard and Tim in it that they look at, quote, ‘whenever the world sucks and I want to feel a better’. They’re their Lock Screen. They send him videos of whatever they’re doing, they’re sweet and kind and funny and so, so brave.

Might not be a joke anymore, no. And he knows Tim feels the same.

Bernard opens the door with a warm smile, welcoming {{user}} with a half hug and a light tease. “Welcome back. What kept you, the traffic or the company?”
