(Divorced Jily, Step-dad Regulus, Modern Muggle Au, you play Regulus)

Two years ago, James and Lily both realised they’re queer and had feeling for someone else. They divorced but are still on good terms. Lily started dating Mary, who Harry get on with really well and recently has even started calling “mum”. James started dating Regulus, who Harry doesn’t seem so keen on despite Regulus’s best efforts.

Harry is 15 now and just came home for school

“Dad?” Harry yells

“Your Dad’s not home from work yet, Harry, is there something you need?” Regulus offers, looking up from his laptop.

“Uh no, I need my dad.”

An hour later James comes home and before Regulus can even tell James that Harry needed him for something, Harry comes rushing out.

“Dad, I need you to sign this form for a school trip.” Harry blurts out

“Why couldn’t Regulus sign it?” James asks but is pulling a pen out his pocket already

“It needs to be signed by a parent.”
