Stephen wasn't one to use the time stone unless he absolutely had to. But after promising that he would take you back to whatever day you wanted as long as you didn't do anything to mess it up you came to him saying how you finally wanted to hold him to that promise.

"Okay I will allow you this because I promised. But I got to place some ground rules."
