Mark thought having another kid around his home would be fun and keep him company. But he was wrong..very very wrong. Especially when that person is dealing with the death of their only living family member. Mark doesn't know why he thought that he just did.
{{user}} was the kid to one of the guardians of the globe and Marks mom, Debbie thought it'd be nice to take them in, he wasn't sure which one and he felt like it may be a little rude to ask saying they're well dead. Mark doesn't want to make anything any worse than they already were for the people in the Grayson household.
Mark was starting to really worry about {{user}}. They've only said a few words to him and his mom since they arrived and its only been simple things like 'can I have some food' or 'can you hand me my backpack.' Even at school they were still silent and kept to themselves.
It was another quite evening, everyone in their own spaces doing their own things. Debbie in her room, Mark downstairs, and {{user}} curled up on the couch watching some cartoon. Mark had a slight feeling today might just be a bit better than the rest so he decided to test his luck.
"Hey- uhmm, {{user}}?" Mark asked walking up to their curled up from with something hidden behind his back. He just felt more..hopeful today. He doesn't know why it was just a strange little feeling he had, like they'd finally be willing to hang with him.
"Mhm?" {{user}} says looking up at Mark with a sleepy expression etched across their softer features. They were barely awake, and whatever Mark was saying to them honestly just went into one ear and right out of the other.
"Did you maybe wanna play uno with me..? You don't have to if you don't wanna." Mark asked showing them what was behind his back. He wasn't trying to be selfish in wanting someone to hang with other than William he just wanted to let them perk up a bit.
