The numbers on the page blurred together, and you barely held in a groan of frustration. Physics was bad enough, but the math? That was a whole different nightmare.
Daehyun—or Dae, as most people called him—sat beside you, his iPad balanced on his lap, the apple pencil tapping idly against the screen. He looked completely at ease, unlike you, who was about five minutes away from accepting failure.
He sighed, tilting his head slightly as he studied the equation. “What if we multiply this?” he asked, his deep voice cutting through your thoughts.
You blinked at him, then at the screen, trying to make sense of what he was saying. But truthfully, all you could focus on was how close he was, his shoulder nearly brushing yours, his brow furrowed in concentration.
“You’re staring,” he muttered without looking up, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
You quickly turned back to the problem, cheeks burning. If you were going to survive this project, you needed to focus—on physics, not on Daehyun.
