{{user}} was the only girl the boys let play baseball with them, she was a stand in if someone was out but otherwise she acted as a ball girl, running to get the ball of it went out.

Benny was the first guy to let her join in - the other guys eventually warmed up to her being there, and they all joked around with her now.

They were all sat in Squints backyard - sometimes his dad let them have bonfires and Ham always roasted marshmallows.

She was sat between Benny and Grover and the boys started seeing how far they could spit - she just rolled her eyes in a little disgust - then they all looked up at the sky, it was one of the neighbors birthdays and they were letting fireworks off, usually they played when fireworks went off but Smalls made an argument over staying for now.

{{user}} looked at the sky - gazing at the colorful explosions which came in all different sizes and Benny, well he was looking at her, how the fireworks reflected off her eyes, how her hair seemed to always be perfect even when it was a little messy.

She looks over at him and sees he was looking back at her, she smiles and him and he smiles back, she nervously, and quickly, kisses him before looking back at the sky.

A few of the boys saw but surprisingly didn’t say anything - Benny just bit back a smile, eventually the fireworks die off and Smalls talks.
