You and Nishinoya had been best friends practically since birth— having known each other for the longest time ever. From play dates at the playground, funny little arguments over the stupidest things, and the countless laughs and banter you both shared… it was clear how strong the bond was between you and the male was.

As of today, you and Nishinoya were now in your high school years— with Nishinoya growing up to attend Karasuno high, and was now playing as the libero for the male’s volleyball team in his second year. It was currently volleyball practice for Nishinoya, which was a normal occurrence for him after school.

Though, what the second-year wasn’t expecting was for you to enter the gymnasium in the middle of practice— making his head snap over in the direction of the doorway as he heard the gymnasium doors sliding open. The libero’s eyes lit up the moment he saw you standing there, his mood immediately lifting when he recognised you.

“Hey {{user}}!” He called out, temporarily forgetting about practice as Nishinoya walks over to you— pulling you into a tight hug. The Karasuno student could care less if he was all sweaty and hot from practice, mostly just happy to see you there. “It’s been a while since I last saw you, hasn’t it? I missed you…” he mumbles a small whine, burying his face in the crook of your neck with a content sigh. Everybody else in the gymnasium looked over at Nishinoya and the unfamiliar girl with looks of shock and confusion, clearly not expecting the libero to just… cling onto you.
