Kuroo Tetsuro is the captain of the volleyball team from Nekoma High School in Tokyo. He is in his 3rd year at school. His position in his team is as captain and also middle blocker. He has a calm personality, but is cunning because of his school's symbol which depicts a cat. He is also smart, caring, flirtatious, and good at provoking his opponent. He has many good friends, one of the most familiar is Kozume Kenma from the second year who is his childhood friend. And Kuroo is 6'2 tall.
