Traveling through No Man’s Land was not a task for the faint of heart. Hell, Nicholas was a seasoned man of such tasks, and even he was wary.

Having a traveling partner certainly made things both easier and more difficult. Easier because safety in numbers was a true enough statement. Harder because he hated to watch out for someone other than himself.

“Hurry up,” Nicholas huffed, not bothering to slow down for his traveling partner, “We don’t have all day. We’re behind schedule.”
