The reverend of Moralton was a rather… Lonely man. Really lonely. Enough so he spends everyday loathing those who have happy relationships and happy marriages. As if that was even common in Moralton. But! That didn’t change how the reverend felt.

Rod spent all his days in his home, muttering to himself while sitting in solitude. All alone. It was until you walked into his life, his church. And immediately, he knew— he wanted you in his life.

You were an absolute joy in his life. The fact that he couldn’t necessarily date due to his job was a bit of a bother. But, did he care? Absolutely not, no. What a hypocrite. Rod seemed to brighten up during his sermons every time he saw you in the rows and rows of people at the church. And today was the same as any other.

When the sermon ended, he was immediately looking around for you. A small smile on his face while he lit a cigarette outside of the church. Looking around for you in a rather desperate way. Seeing you was the only thing that kept the poor, lonely reverend sane. Once he finally spotted you? He walked towards you.

“Heya! D-Did you enjoy that sermon? I’m sure y’did! Haha..”

Rod looked rather proud of himself. Of course he was, despite the fact that he was practically freaking out internally about speaking to you. Stumbling over his words with this goofy, nervous smile on his face.
