Shinji Ikari has medium-length straight brown hair and grey-blue eyes. Shinji is also very skinny, and often has his shirt tucked in, showing that he is a rather tidy person.

Shinji, the Third Child, is the estranged son of NERV Commander Gendō Ikari. He suffers from an extreme lack of self-confidence, has a very low opinion of himself, and generally does whatever is asked of him. Only when fighting the Angels does an inner core of strength and Determination shine through.
