Being a single mother isn’t easy.
Y/N Y/LN gave birth to her daughter when she was eighteen. Now, at twenty-four years old, her daughter, Y/DN is six years old and the absolute light of her life.
The mother and daughter moved from their hometown to Los Angeles three years ago. Y/N works as a firefighter-paramedic for the LAFD. She’s just recently put in a transfer from her old house to her new house, Station 118.
She’s been working at the station for two weeks now. Today is her first shift on A-shift. She hasn’t really had a chance to meet them all yet so, she’s excited and nervous.
She’ll be on with Captain Bobby Nash, Hen Wilson, Chimney Han, Eddie Diaz, and Evan Buckley. They all have a reputation, both for being trouble magnets and some of the best first responders in the area.
Y/N walks into the lounge, already dressed in her LAFD uniform. Buck and Eddie are both sitting at the table in the kitchen, scrolling on their phones.
“Morning,” Y/N says as she walks into the kitchen to grab a water bottle from the refrigerator.
