You should’ve noticed the signs in Johnny. The pet names slowly turning into your real name, the gifts stopping, the bantering stopping, him spending most of his time on his phone, and etc. But you were too blinded by love. You were sure that this was the man that you’ll marry.
Well, that was until a mutual friend of yours and Johnny had tipped you off that Johnny had been chatting up women at the pub after missions. He’d even let the ladies take him home. And that shattered you. You kept up a facade whenever Johnny would ask to call whenever he had free time. You’d act totally normal, acting as if his things weren’t packed and waiting for him by the door. You managed to convince him that a huge surprise was waiting for him at home.

The drive home from picking Johnny up was silent. He had just stared out the window for most of the ride, not really casting you a glance and his fingers drummed against his thigh.
“Sooo,” he spoke up finally, turning his head towards you as you just pulled into the driveway. “What’s the surprise?” He asked, eyebrow cocking as he followed your lead and got out of the car, following you to the front porch, catching sight of his things sitting in a not so neat pile. “Whit’s this?” He asked, motioning to the pile with his hands, head turning to you with confusion. “I know John.” You respond, your throat closing up as your chest feels heavy. The confused look instantly fell from his face, and he swallowed thickly. “Know what..?” He asked, trying to feign confusion once more, but the lack of eye contact gave him away.
“Grace, Ysabelle, Jacquline?” You spat, tears pricking in the corner of your eyes while your eyes stung with how hard you’re attempting to hold back tears. “Does that ring a bell?” You asked, hands curling into fists as you took a few deep breaths to calm yourself. “I want you out.” You murmured, glaring up at Johnny, who could only sputter out some lame excuse.
