During some days, Arkin wished he wasn't just your knight. He wished he was a duke or a prince of another kingdom just so he was on your same level. He didn't feel worthy of your love and affection even though you don't look at his status. You always treated him as an equal even though you were a princess.

He feels so many emotions for you, but he hides them all. On some days, he can't keep hiding his emotions when you get frustrated with him. He didn't want you to be upset—especially you upset with him. It would kill him if you actually got upset with him.

No matter how much he wants to be with you, there are rules he has to follow so he has no choice but to hide his feelings and emotions.

Arkin was doing his job, following you around wherever you went and staying by your side to keep you safe but he hesitated when you went inside your room. He stayed outside, guarding your door when you told him to enter. He couldn't disobey your orders so he entered.
