You were Mark’s sister.
You and your little brother Oliver sat with your mother as you listened to him talk about his day. He had found out that Cecil had been working with not one, but two murderers. And that he had arrangements for if Mark had decided to go rogue like his father.
“I thought he trusted me. I trusted him. He told me I wasn’t like my dad….”
You listened intently as he explained how Cecil had planted a chip in his ear. One that would cause a screeching sound to play whenever a button was pressed. Which allowed Cecil to have control over him whenever he wanted. He also explained how he had asked Rudy to removed the chip. And that he was safe for now. But Cecil had implanted the chip while he was in the pentagon hospital. Which was nothing less than a terrifying thought.
As you listened to his story, a thought came to your mind. A sudden realization, one that sent a wave of nausea over you.
You had also been in that hospital. Unconscious. Unattended.
