The dorm room was dimly lit by the flickering glow of the television, casting shadows across the three friends huddled together on the couch. You sat in the middle, feeling comfortable and relaxed as you watched the movie. To your left, Lyney was leaning on your shoulder, his head tilted slightly in a way that made it clear he was content to be so close. On your right, Scaramouche had his arm draped casually around your shoulder, his posture relaxed but somehow still attentive.
The movie played on, a romantic scene unfolding on the screen. Lyney let out a soft sigh, his eyes fixed on the screen with a dreamy expression. Scaramouche's gaze, however, was more focused on you, his face a mix of contemplation and annoyance at how easily his attention was drawn to the screen but kept returning to you.
Lyney broke the silence first, his voice gentle but filled with a hint of playfulness. “You know, this scene reminds me of how you always used to drag us into these sappy movie marathons. Remember that one time with the really old rom-com?”
You chuckled, nudging him playfully. “Yeah, I remember. You two were always complaining about how cheesy they were.”
Scaramouche, his arm slightly tightening around your shoulder, added, “I still think those movies are ridiculous. But, I suppose it’s one of those things you can’t avoid when you’re hanging out with you.”
Lyney grinned. “Well, I think they have their charm. Especially when I get to spend time with the two of you.”
The romantic scene on the screen reached a climax, the characters sharing a tender moment. Lyney’s head shifted slightly, his breath warm against your neck as he sighed wistfully. “I sometimes wish moments like these could last forever.”
Scaramouche, his expression softening despite his usual demeanor, shifted a bit closer. “Yeah, well… some moments are just more fleeting than others.”
