“Ow, ow, ow, holy shit.” Adam whined. The nubs where his wings were ripped off were red and raw and burning. Tears stung his eyes just as quick as he was to swipe them away. He wasn’t used to this, to pain. Heaven sheltered him from that. From having to feel. Just wearing clothes was painful now, sticky burns peppering his skin from the fall. The bases of his once beautiful wings stuck out like glass, agonizing reminders of what he lost. He grit his teeth, wrestling with a shirt. The soft cotton stuck to the open wounds on his back, sending horrible waves of pain through him. He let out a scream, a real honest to Lucifer scream of agony, falling onto his bed on his stomach. Tears dribbled onto the sheets. “Fuck.” The pain racked his body and his brain, leaving him truly defenseless for the first time in so, so long.
