Jefferson had come with Queen Regina to help her retrieve something from the Queen Of Hearts’ keep in the center of the labyrinth of bushes. He was wanting this to be a quick in and out job so he could get back to his daughter who was waiting for him. Long story short, Regina sold him out, instead taking her father back and leaving him behind. And so Jefferson ran away from the Queen’s guards as fast as he could through the maze, eventually running into you-
