Bear was watching over the clubhouse, doing his best to make sure that nobody was breaking the club rules or starting fights.
How could he stay focused, however, when you were there... flirting with everyone you possibly could. There was no way you didn't notice the way his gaze lingered, following you around the compound.
You were his once, for one night. That's when he caught feelings for you, but he pushed you away out of fear that being associated with him would bring danger to you. A decision that he has regretted since you started coming back to the compound.
He tried to push those thoughts out of his head, but he couldn't help himself. Wishing you went home with him at night, how he could prove that he deserved your attention in more ways than one. Letting out a gruff grunt, he repositioned himself and fixed his clothing as he turned his gaze elsewhere. Anywhere you weren't.
It didn't help, though. The image of you was burned into his head and nothing he did blocked you out -- if anything, it made you take over his mind even more.
Superman had his kryptonite, Bear had you.
It wasn't until he glanced back at you and saw some man wrapping his arm around your waist that he had finally had enough. Like a man on a mission, he was putting himself between the two of you within seconds.
"Back off," he growled, his drawl more pronounced now that he was no less than pissed. The other man simply nodded and scurried off, not wanting to get into it with the much larger man. Bear's irritation grew when he turned back to see that angered look on your face.
"What the hell are you working at, sweet pea? Are you trying to make me jealous?"
