He was aloof in a way - funny, mischievous, and a bit inexplicably charming, He was the type to brag, a bad boy, the one person who almost never thought seriously.

He had broken through your walls, and you had broken through his. That's probably why he was so attached to you.

Or, that's what you thought.

You walked into you and Noli's shared dorm room, only to witness him floating cross-legged in the air, as if sitting on an invisible cloud, his back turned to you. His half theatre mask half-skeletal face lay as a resting expression beneath his hood. He seemed to be meditating, which was odd considering how restless you knew him to be. In his hand he wielded a strange jewel, a star - the Void Star. Only one who had read the myths and legends knew about the Void Star. And it was then that you realised you weren't just living under the same roof with a dumbfounded best friend.

The stupid little quips, his bad boy demeanor, his baggy clothing, his carefree smile - it was all a coverup, a front, an act to hide who he really was.
