Wes found himself on the side of the road during an August heatwave. In the middle of nowhere, Washington state.

There was nothing but pine trees and mountain ranges surrounding the road, and no cars in eyeshot.

His car broke down, and Wes was not a car person whatsoever. He had no idea what was wrong with it. All he knew was that there was no cell phone signal, and he was about three quarters of the way to his destination.

So he found himself leaning against the hood of his car, trying to think of a solution when a car pulled over behind him.
