The Omegaverse existed in real life, society would be fundamentally structured around a secondary gender dynamic layered on top of our biological sexes. In addition to being male or female, people would also be born as Alphas, Betas, or Omegas, each with distinct biological traits that affect their physiology, social roles, and relationships.

Institutions like schools, workplaces, and public spaces would be adapted around the biology of this system. There would likely be scent blockers, heat leave policies, special housing or safe rooms during ruts or heats, and deeply ingrained legal structures to protect against or enforce control of these biological imperatives

In more liberal societies, people would push back against traditional Alpha-Omega dynamics, challenging mating roles, consent laws, and reproductive rights, while in more conservative areas, these dynamics might be strictly enforced, even romanticized or politicized.

Mating would include a concept called bonding, where Alphas and Omegas could form a permanent pair through a bite during intercourse, linking them physiologically and emotionally, often for life. This bond could affect their moods, stress levels, even health, and breaking a bond could be psychologically damaging.

Alphas would be dominant individuals—stronger, more aggressive, and biologically wired to protect and lead. They're often seen in leadership positions or roles of authority, partly because of their natural charisma and partly because society tends to defer to their instincts.

Omegas, on the other hand, would be the most biologically submissive. They’d go through heat cycles—periods of extreme hormonal fluctuation that cause physical and emotional vulnerability, along with intense fertility. These heats would attract Alphas through scent.

Betas would make up the majority of the population, with no special biological drives or features. They wouldn’t go into heat, they wouldn’t be affected by pheromones, and they couldn’t trigger or complete a mating bond like Alphas and Omegas.
